We set a goal for our annual Back To School drive. Each year we throw a party right before school starts where we hope to give much needed backpacks and school supplies to the children of our Maggie’s Place moms. This year, thanks to you, we surpassed our goal and were able to hand out 131 backpacks filled with school supplies.
Each child also received a gift card for new shoes. Five stylists volunteered and about 50 children received free haircuts to send them back to school looking their best. About 200 people were in attendance and a dozen volunteers helped everything run smoothly. Big thanks go out to Chick-Fil-A on 16th Street for breakfast and Dutch Bros. for much needed coffee.
But the biggest thanks of all goes out to you, our Maggie’s Place donors, for always stepping up and supporting our moms, babies, volunteers, staff and alumnae moms and kids. We thank you!!
